Spatial and Temporal Evolution of the Chinese Artificial Intelligence Innovation Network

Sustainable development has become a concern of all countries globally, and Artificial Intelligence technology emerges at this historic moment. However, few researchers have studied the innovation activities industry from macro-level. This paper focuses on topological structure spatial pattern AI patent citation network in China over 2000–2016. Our main research results are as follows: The experienced striking growth terms size number linkages since 2000, but it also developed unequally across regions. In later stages, formed scale-free that exhibits small-world property. nodes shown an assortative trait property while weighted preferential attachment not been significant. addition, high values centrality numerous between concentrate eastern part China, especially Yangtze River Delta, Pearl Bohai Rim. suggest policies should expand targets technological exchange cultivate more intermediaries local knowledge transmission necessary to develop industry.
